Considering rice played with Montana and young, and under an offensive guru in bill Walsh, and randy came in tearing shite up wkth Randall Cummingham I would think it is closeer than those numbers may suggest

I think it's telling that you would deflect rather than do what I asked. I guess when you can't win the debate, the only thing left to do is change the subject.

EDIT: Jerry Rice is the Barry Bonds, Pete Rose and Cal Ripken, Jr. of receiver all rolled into one.

What I posted shows he has had a better individual season then Rice and some better longevity records as well. I actually 100% answered your post you maroon

Yeah, I was watching him in games that 97 season and just jaw dropped. His highlights were on ESPN of course too. I remember wishing so hard that the Saints would take him, but I knew they wouldn't.

bullshite! Did you know that there were stats other than touchdowns, such as yardage and receptions? As a matter of fact, whether we're talking about quarterbacks, running backs or receivers, touchdowns pail in comparison to yardage, not that it matters since Rice is far and away the career leader there as well. Anyway, here are the facts that you were too cowardly and dishonest to post:

Best Season
Rice - 1848 yards, 122 receptions, 15 touchdowns
Moss - 1632 yards, 111 receptions, 17 touchdowns

Career Stats (Longevity)
Rice - 22,895 yards, 1549 receptions, 197 touchdowns, 13 Pro Bowls, 10 times 1st team All-Pro
Moss - 15,292 yards, 982 receptions, 156 touchdowns, 6 Pro Bowls, 4 time 1st team All-Pro

By the way, the word is spelled moron, not maroon, you moron, lest you were trying to call me a shade of purple.

EDIT: A few more things worth noting are that Rice wasn't too lazy to block, he didn't grow alligator arms when he was asked to go across the middle and he didn't take downs off, unlike Randy "I-Play-When-I-Feel-Like-Playing" Moss.

Do I think Moss was the most talented WR of all time- yeah don't think it's all that close either (forget 40 times where Moss has a slight edge on Megatron look at the initial 5 yard burst-- Moss was at full speed in 2 strides) that's what was unparalleled for a man that sized, he was legitimately the fastest player in the league for a handful of years.

All that said Rice while his stats were massively inflated by the type of offense he played in has a case for best player ever not just WR.

I think a case can be made for both Moss and Johnson being the most talented receivers ever. Moss was slightly faster, but Johnson is considerably bigger and stronger. However, let's remember that Johnson is the all-time single season yardage leader.

I don't see how you can accuse Rice of this when neither Joe Montana nor Steve Young ever led the league in passing yardage, as opposed to Moss, who twice (2004 and 2007) played with the quarterback who led the league in passing. Unlike the Marks Brothers in Miami, who had Dan Marino (led the league in passing yardage five times) throwing the ball to them, Rice was never part of an air show, because those 49er's teams always had good running games. Furthermore, Moss played in an era with more advantageous rules for receivers than the era Rice played in, when defensive backs weren't forced to play with one hand tied behind their backs. Back then safeties like Rice's teammate Ronnie Lott regularly put receivers to sleep without even getting penalized, much less fined or suspended.

Amen to this!

I will never understand why people put careers in jepoardy over marijuana. If you know that you can go to jail for failing a drug test or that you will be sent home from a possible baseball career put it down. I'm not saying that MJ is a huge crime, but in those circumstances Moss could have lost everything and the other guy did lose his career over a damn joint.

If he would have stayed out of trouble can't help but think how much higher he would have went in the draft.

I used to hate playing against him and Carter.
