Hate that for Jett, am rooting for Tomac to win the title, but not with Jett sitting on the sidelines.

No. Deegan can turn a faster hot lap than Shimoda on just about any track.
The thing that really impressed me about Shimoda in his win, every….single…..lap…..was at a high level. I would not be surprised if his lap times in that race were within a half second of each other; amazing consistency.

I've thought for years that at the half way point of the race any lapped rider that's off the leader's pace by 5 seconds a lap should have to leave the track. It's not just they can screw up the results by slowing down the top riders they can also injure them and themselves. Luckily Roczen wasn't hurt but that's a huge swing in points he lost. frick

I’m torn on this. I used to want this same rule in place but I also believe that navigating lappers is an art.
