I've never understood that line of thinking. Road courses/street races break up the monotony of the ovals and you get to see a different skill set.

I like road courses, I do understand why some people don’t like them for NASCAR.
I am not a fan of street courses, but this race was pretty good

NASCAR fans aren’t asking for a ton of road courses. We just want enough representation to be taken seriously. Less than 20% isn’t that much. They just need to be spread out.
Street courses are the new racing venues. No ovals are going up. Not many permanent road racing circuits are going up either. It’s more cost effective to put up temporary circuits on city streets.

I don’t like it, I do underhand why

I don’t mind road courses, but I prefer ones that suit stock cars. Fast and flowing. I don’t mind one Chicago/Coranado per year. It has its place, but I wish they’d give an existing road course a chance before they’d go back to the Roval or put a 2nd street course on the schedule.

1 a year is fine for me. But I won’t be mad if there are 2 street courses next year. I’d like to see Portland, road America, Virginia all host races. I’d love to see these cars at road Atlanta, but I doubt Michelin would be ok with that.
I’d like to see Canada or Mexico once a year. Hell I’d like to see both but realistically you could see one. I think 6 is the number.

No ovals are going up

There was supposed to be one around Kentwood I think. Think it was supposed to be a 1 mile oval. And LA screwed that up like only she knows how.

There was talk of a 1 mile track being built in Gulfport north of 10 between the 24 and 28 exits.

Man, that would’ve been awesome

Wow, cool

The Washington D.C. IndyCar race around the National Mall has a heck of a support series race for Saturday of that weekend: An IROC race with Jeff Gordon, Kurt Busch, Bobby Labonte, Rusty Wallace, Bill Elliott, Tony Kanaan, Helio Castroneves and Dario Franchitti.

Posted on 6/25/26 at 10:37 am to Cliff Booth
Not sure bit it would be dumb if they didn’t with that lineup

What other team jumps to dodge next year with kaulig? I think hyak is the most likely option.

If Dodge is entering with money who knows.
Front Row?
Spire?
Trackhouse?
I think the rest are locked in. This is good for the sport

Spire seems pretty entrenched with Chevy. And I think 2/3 of trackhouse drivers are contracted Chevy drivers. I’d love for Trackhouse to leave Chevy. I’m not sure if Dodge is who they’d leave for.
