Announced earlier this week, INDYCAR tweaked rule that previously, if you entered a closed pit road to get splash of gas/damage repair in emergency, you could only pit once when pits were open. Now can pit multiple times. Still restart at rear but now allows more time for fixes.

All 25 INDYCAR drivers are scheduled to test today at The Milwaukee Mile. Milwaukee has a doubleheader weekend that comes a week before the season finale at Laguna Seca. Test is closed to the public.

On Conor Daly’s Speed Street podcast, Pato O’Ward said he has asked to be relieved from his F1 reserve/test responsibilities with McLaren. He wants a little more of an offseason, enjoys INDYCAR and wants to focus on his training and the 2027 INDYCAR season.

Apologies as this is not Indycar related but don't know where else to post it.
I wish IMSA coverage would show the track speed of the cars during the races. I think they just inked a deal with Oracle for some data stuff.
Hope they can add some new graphics showing track position and speed at some point.

INDYCAR Medical update from Dr. Angi Fiege: David Malukas is being transported to a local hospital by private vehicle for further testing.

If David Malukas is not cleared (no idea if he will or will not), Team Penske can use an approved substitute driver for qualifying or the race. In order to race, the substitute driver would need to participate in the practice session tonight or a special practice session Sunday.

Malukas got in and out of the car no problem and the INDYCAR doctor gave him the thumbs up
