McClaren going after Dixon and Verstapen. Could we see them racing together in Endurance?

I figured it was all about the Indy 500 for McLaren. They have been very open about wanting to win all three triple crown races again. I think they must think Dixon helps their chances at the 500.

Wow. I'll be curious to hear what went into this. Just a big payday? Or opportunities outside of Indycar?

Oh, I'm also just seeing the news on Felix going to McLaren. Zach ain't fricking around.

Didn’t McLaren already have Felix at one point? I’m surprised they are letting Lundgaard go.

Yeah, they did. Prioritizing the 500 over the points maybe? Does Felix bring more money? It's all kind of odd.

Letting Lundgaard go is a massive mistake

Dixon also wants to race Endurance after Indy and live in the UK. McClaren can deliver that plus the 500

Bob Pockrass
@bobpockrass

Marcus Armstrong has signed a multiyear deal to stay at Meyer Shank Racing.

Armstrong will drive the No. 60 next season at MSR (he currently drives No. 66). Armstrong: “I feel that Meyer Shank Racing gives me one of the strongest cars on the grid every weekend. Our goals are aligned, we want to win races and be consistently fighting at the front.”

INDYCAR has notified teams of a tentative 4:35-4:40 PM CT(local track time)/ 5:35-5:40 PM ET green flag for the July 19th race at Nashville Superspeedway, though timing will remain fluid based on the conclusion of the World Cup championship game. The plan is, the moment World Cup coverage wraps up, FOX handsoff coverage straight to INDYCAR with engines firing and the race getting underway.

The series is hoping to convert as much of that massive World Cup viewership as possible into race fans tuned in for the green flag. For those not watching the World Cup, there will be a pre-race show beginning at 3:30CT/4:30ET on FS1.

If USA gets to and wins they will not go straight to Indycar. That likely win’t happen but if it did they would stay on to document the biggest win is US history.

I like our team, but they have zero chance of making it that far

Scott McLaughlin. The No. 3 entry of Team Penske has been issued a six-place grid penalty for today's Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio following an unapproved engine change.
