Nola Gold finally put out of their misery.
Very disappointing season.

Yeah Knock-Out Rugby is the best time of the year for Club Rugby.
Watched the European Rugby Champions Cup Final last weekend, Bordeaux were the best team all season so they were deserving champs and that's not 5 years in a row that a French Top 14 team has won the title.
This weekend I watched the URC Quater Finals all the home teams held serve though the Sharks did it very dramatically going all the way to a kick off to decide the outcome. I think in all my years of watching Rugby I had only seen that one other time.
I also watched the Japan League One Final Toshiba Brave Lupus defeating Kubota Spears. Richie Mo'unga practically won the game by himself with a broken hand.

Yeah for whatever reason NOLA just never gelled as a team. I think Danny Lee did too many roster changes from week to week. Still as the announcers said 7 losses by 7 points or less shows they have talent just didn't get the breaks they needed. Also poor discipline in the second half of games. I lost track of how many games they had a lead at half time only to blow it in the second half with yellow/red cards.

Nola has a ton of talent. But that team has played undisciplined for years. That’s the culture all the way down to the club level and it’s infuriating.

Yeah, be interesting to see what moves they make in the offseason.
