I get Sargent getting a penalty, but if I'm a backrunner, next qualifying I'm putting in a hot lap with one car and just parking the other blocking everyone

People are whining for the sake of whining. Did any cars not get to do their final lap because of the pit lane incidents?

I hope someone is keeping sharp objects away from you tomorrow.

Gonna be tough to watch.

I lived through the 21 year WDC drought when all that time the last one I could remember was Jody frickin' Scheckter. I am more immune to Ferrari-induced pain than a 13th-century Flagellant or an elephant with a gram-a-day fentanyl habit.

You learn to compartmentalize the good times. Hopefully, I can take succor tomorrow from the other motorsport team 25 miles down the road.

Williams always does glory runs on Friday. Like, I always want to believe it could be real this time, but I'm more often than not disappointed on Sunday.

Albon lap time deleted, Sargeant is starting from Austin, and the team was fined $20k for leaving a jack in the pit lane. frick me.

Pecco has seemingly righted the ship but Martin just won't go away. He's definitely trying to make a point about missing out on the factory ride.

The Tark quote immediately popped into my head when I saw the article about the penalties

So rewatching 2022, RB and Ferrari started on softs and switched to meds until the end of the race. Merc started on meds and switched to hards and they weren't as good as the meds.

I think they said this year the soft is softer so does that make the hard the tire to use on a one stopper this year? Start on meds and switch to hard? Or is a two stopper the way?

I think we see a one stopper starting on mediums then going long on hards.

I agree. THe soft this week is the softest compound in the range and it was not handling qualifying laps that well.

Is this race on at 1:30 or not? The TV guide channel says 1:30 but the cable guide says 3:00.

Also, the race starts at 3 central according to the F1 website. Pre-race show starts at 2.

Pre race on ESPN may start earlier than F1TV.

No, it's there on ABC. It just wasn't in the cable guide.

Ferrari running asymmetrical cooling vents on the top of the sidepods. Wonder how that affects the aero in high speed corners

Liked listening to Bernie talk about that and explaining the cooling.
