All this love for Mel Tucker and his joke of a team is going to lose to Pitt’s third string QB. Glad LSU dodged that bullet.

A couple boosters are paying it but the guy is all media hype and has not shown anything to warrant a contract like that.

Maybe he will be a great coach. No one knows at this point.

What is the ceiling for Michigan State, is it the same as Wisconsin?

MSU let's mouthbreathers in so theoretically it should be easier there. On the flip side they are in the east and have UM along with a number of G5's scooping up in state talent.

I think Dantonito got them to their ceiling.

Wisconsin hit their ceiling decades ago

That's about right. Dantonio hit a sweet spot when Michigan was down and OSU was sort of between Tressel and Urban. For the most part, they are the fourth best team in the division.

Forgot about the Broncos and Chippewas tapping into the local talent pool.

Iowa

Recent history doesn't show that but Chryst has them on that trend.

Dyche has been a house of horrors for decades. I've seen hayfields that played faster.

Mr. Conservative keeps UW from being the OSU of the B1G West.

I'm not bumping the coach of the year thread because I got a PM for bumping old threads, but Fickell wins the Bobby Dodd award. I think that's fair if he, Harbaugh, Aranda, and Tucker share the awards.

Funny, Iowa fans say the same thing about Ferentz. We would be dominating the West if it wasn't for Conservative Kirk. Chew some gum. That's football.

The two teams, and coaches, are essentially clones.

Barry had Iowa on his resume and built UW following a lot of what Fry did. And nothing has changed since.
