I saw tennys yesterday. Did the standard mv maneuver of sneaking into corporate box. Never fails.

Apologies for the hyper-brevity of previous posts -- was mobile.
I went to Citi Open yesterday and saw a bit of Grigsy v. Edmund, and then more of Gael v. Bhambri, and then all of Tennys v. Kyrgios.
Okay, so I know that Kyrgios wasn't completely healthy, but Sandgren played really well. He needs to learn to be more aggressive when the he has the advantage in points, and I think he's a top 50 player. He moves pretty well and is solid but not elite on both wings. Good serve, but not like the Howitzer of Kyrgios. Does Kyrgios always play that fast, or was he just trying to get off the court? Holy moly, iit was lightning fast. That super wristy jump forehand he hits is a thing of beauty. I think he wasn't completely injured, but was enough injured to where he could exaggerate it in his mind. I talked to Sandgren for a few minutes after the match. Nice guy.
Either Monfils is in constant agony or he's the laziest man alive. Just to watch him lumber between points is comical.
Grigsy's little crosscourt backhand is nifty. I don't know how he got routined today as he seemed to be in okay form. I guess the medvedev kid is legit.
I wasn't kidding about sneaking into a box. I'm a f'ing scavenger. I snuck into the US Open player's lounge as a younger man.

Good stuff, MV.
Murray and Cilic are out for Montreal next week. Thiem and Zverev are the 3 and 4 seeds.

Now Warrinka is done for the year too. Wonder when Murray says he will be done for the year?

Just need Rafa and Andy out now.

Tommy Paul has been so impressive this tourney so far.

Watching. Dude was playing futures tournaments a few months ago. Impressive indeed.

He always seemed to be mentioned as small compared to giants like Opelka and Fritz or not as physically gifted as Tiafoe. He looks big enough and strong enough to me. And he moves better than those guys.

He is giving the ninja hell right now.

frick yeah he is. Nishikori probably still wins this match but if Paul does win it would be step towards separating himself from the other young Americans. Dude is playing great tennis.

Nishikori isn't playing well, but Paul seemed like he's gotten a little mojo going after playing well in Atlanta.
Even there he got smoked by Muller, before beating him in this tourney. Just ridiculously impressive.

And he's the lowest ranked if them all at 225. Sure doesn't look like #225 to me.

Paul's footwork is awesome.

Wow, incredible match point and the ninja saved it.

Gutsy play from Nishikori there. Hope Paul still has some gas in the tank here.

Tommy just served for the match and ninja battled to level it.

Ninja fought off three match points and has it level.
