After such a great start... then they traded for Hanzal and went to shite.
Dont follow them close enough to know why they turned bad, aside from Dubnyk turning back into what he was in prior years.
After the trade deadline and some beatdowns from the blackhawks they just became incredibly average.

Blues were outplayed for much of this series. Team can't keep playing like crap in the 3rd period if they are going to win another series. Never played Predators in the playoffs before.

And the Wild have some truly awful contracts. Parise and Suter, both 32 now are making almost 8 mil per until 2025. I agree with you about Dubnyk being who he really is, but he's under contract until 2021.

Wild have peaked. Poor contracts and their farm is pretty bare as well. Nothing cooking in the minors really as far prospects.

Don't interchange outplayed and playing passively.
We fricking do this where we get a lead and turtle, whenever they needed to answer though they absolutely did.
The blues only ever trailed in game 4, to say they were outplayed the entire series, while they consistently took care of the only stat that matters is off base. The wild only ever got into games on the cusp of shite penalties that were not being called both ways, period.
For all the talk about how poor we are, the blues are in a great position. We came into the playoffs for the first time I can remember on an absolute role 19-6 since start of March, 2 losses in the month of April. They are doing what they need to win
