Yes. Where was this effort! If they play with that effort from the beginning it would have been a decent, close game.

Trae Young might score 60 on us, but that wouldn't be a bad matchup. If they go cold from outside, they're pretty mediocre.

On most nights that entire team is dogshit outside of Trae Young

Do you follow baseball as well? Would be cool to have a similar thread
Posted on 2/12/18 at 9:55 pm to BayouBengals03
I've made weekend threads for baseball in the past, but I wouldn't keep up with something this detailed.
Posted on 2/12/18 at 9:59 pm to hendersonshands
I'm basically nominating Burdman to do the exact same thing for baseball

Ok, no update yesterday because of Mardi Gras.
Monday night was a SWAC night and Grambling & Southern were 2-0.
Grambling cruised past Texas Southern 78-55. The Tigers were led by Ivy Smith, Jr.'s 22 points in the win. Grambling improves to 14-12 this season and 10-3 in the SWAC.

Last night LSU was the only team in action and they lost to Alabama 65-80. Daryl Edwards and Skylar Mays were the only Tigers to reach double figures scoring 21 and 13 points respectively. LSU falls to 14-11 this year and 5-8 in the SEC.
Schedule for tonight:
Tulane vs ECU - 7pm (ESPNEWS)
Nicholls vs Sam Houston State - 8:15pm
UNO @ Southeastern - 7pm

And BB & Hendo, I appreciate the nomination but I will have to decline.
I like baseball but not like basketball and don't feel like putting the effort into keeping up with all the baseball scores, etc.
I'll be the college basketball season long guy, I'm sure someone can step up and deliver for baseball.

GEAUX COLONELS
73-72
73-72

Scores for Wed. February 14th it was Southland night but it was a huge night.
Also thanks to burdman and everyone else in the thread for keeping this going all year.
Northwestern St. (0-14) lost a tough game in probably there last chance at a victory in conference play to Houston Baptist 70-77. Ishmael Lane had a double double for the Demons with 21 pts and 11 rebs.
McNeese (6-7) got a big win 76-72 to pull within one game of Central Arkansas in the standings. James Harvey had 17, Ledoux had 16pts, and Quatarrius Wilson 12 pts and 16 rebs.
In a HUGE matchup Southeastern (11-3) beat UNO (10-4) 71-64. It was a tale of two halves as SLU went up 40-17 at the break but UNO came roaring back to outscore the Lions 47-31. It was a balanced attack from UNO with only two players in low scoring double figures with Brezat with 11 and Green 13. SLU was led by Capps with 18 and Veal 14.
Nicholls escaped with there lives beating Sam Houston State 73-72. Tevon Saddler and Roddy Peters each added 15pts for the Colonels.
The Southland is shaping up very nicely for tournament play, it would be awesome if SLU, Nicholls, and UNO could get the top 3 seeds going in.
Also Grambling leads the SWAC with Southern close behind and on a nice little roll in 3rd.
ULL has a commanding 2 game lead in the Sun Belt, and ULM is playing much better down the stretch.
LSU's tough loss to Georgia may come back to haunt them as they would have two play the first day of the SEC tournament as they are tied with UGA at 5-8 (Double-bye bracket).
Tulane us struggling mightily down the stretch and sit at 4-9.
This has been one of the better years in recent memory all around for Louisiana basketball, but its the two most consistent teams IMO that are struggling in NW state and LSU. I hope and dont think they should fire Coach Mike but you never know.
All in all, even with a huge bias I think lead by Marlain Veal, SLU wins the Southland and ULL wins the Sun Belt. With LSU making the NIT. I think UAPB wins the SWAC though.

So fricking bad right now. Losing at home to ECU and USF is ridiculous.
Ain't going to be fun next year if Frazier goes pro.

Yea, I'm expecting the baseball team to be pretty bad but I'm interested to see them. Lots of newcomers.
It's pretty disappointing to see the weekend rotation. A grad transfer from Holy Cross, who's numbers were not very impressive and Keagan Gillies who had an ERA over 6 last year are the Saturday and Sunday starters. And pitching is supposed to be the strength of the team

Cajuns beat Texas State 73-63. 22-4 overall and 12-1 in conference.
