Tennis, major drug issues. Djoker is Barry Bonds. Nadal is McGwire. Ferrer is Sosa. Tennis is a joke.

Fed beat Fritz 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.
I watched part of this match. Fritz is a nice shotmaker with a natural serve and he's cool under pressure. He's not a great athlete, though, and he's never going to be. I see him as a top 20 guy but not a top 10 guy.

On what planet is Federer a better mover than Nadal?

Yes, a very reasoned and thoughtful man indeed.

I've watched Kozlov a number of times the last couple years, including parts of his match v Johnson. I just don't see Kozlov becoming a top 20 player in the future due to his lack of size and power. Unlike a number of the other up and coming young guns,His serve is pretty weak for the pro level. Sure, nice win over Steve O, but Stevie looked very off and uncomfortable on the grass.
Maybe Kozlov should get some credit for Stevie being off, but man, his serve looked slow.and it seemed more magnified watching his match yesterday on TV than when I watched a number of his junior or future matches on line.
I agree with pretty much all of this. I really like Kozlov's game, but he's a bit undersized.

dude is a fedtard.
I believe him and his like-minded brethren would take Roger Federer over even Jesus Christ himself in a "how holy" contest. It's crazy. Here is their narrative: "Every single decent tennis player is on PEDs and has been for years. I mean, every single decent tennis player except Roger Federer, who is totally clean."
They state the above like it's gospel. Zero doubt in their minds.
Think about that for a second. Every single player who has won majors -- or even come close -- is on PEDs and has been for years. The only player who isn't is the guy who has won 88 tournaments overall. Marinate on that for a minute.

I find myself agreeing with you more often than not, and I'd like to apologize for being an arse in the French Open thread. It's hard to find people who can, and want, to discuss tennis beyond the top 5 players and/or GOAT discussions.
This is almost exactly how I would word my thoughts on Fritz. He's already maxed out his serve, and I don't see him having much more room for improvement. He's 6'4 and his movement is a little clunky.
Contrast that with a 6'6 Zverev who moves like a 6'2 guy. Throw in the fact that Zverev's serve can be WAY better than it currently is, and his ceiling is crazy high.

I have to reserve judgement on Kozlov, as I haven't seen him play at all lately. The junior videos on YouTube are pretty useless.
If the only knock on him is size, to me that's not enough to discount him. He's listed at 6'0, 170. Even if that's a bit of an exaggeration, Goffin is only listed at 5'11, 150.
It's extremely doubtful that he will ever reach Goffin's level in terms of movement, anticipation, taking the ball early, redirecting shots, flattening out the forehand, etc, but it's not impossible.
Ferrer might be a better comparison, style-wise, but Ferrer is one of the best fighters of all time, and I don't picture Kozlov being a great fighter yet.

Ex LSU Tiger wins his fifth ATP title of his career and third of the year by winning the 250 in Netherlands. He is currently in the race for London.

Tough luck today after absolutely cleaning up this week. Riske had 6 sets points in second set after losing something like 5 straight service games, lost 10-8 in first set TB. Had her at +1.5 sets. Then the two men's finals got suspended until tomorrow.

I think Fritz can be extremely good. He didn't get serious about tennis until about 15, he's got the genes, he's grounded, ball comes off his racquet really nicely, and his demeanor for being a teenager seems like that alone could win him a ton of matches.
