the Olympics? Nash is a top 10 player in the NHL
He was a total fricking beast in the Olympics... I'll say I was glad he was on Team Canada cause it would be a shitshow playing against him...maybe the best two way player out there...

You could put San Jose vs. Atlanta and I'd still watch just to see hockey at the Shoe. I'm a big Red Wings fan though, so that would be nice too.

There will be 500,000 random new Jackets fans around the city that could not name one player besides Nash, for the few days leading up to the Classic, and a short time after. It will be very similar to when they finally made the playoffs, and suddenly, everyone was a fan. That's the one thing that pisses me off. But hey, more support is never a bad thing, I guess.

You rang?

But seriously, I keep trying to get into Hockey. I feel like someday it's going to happen, it just hasn't yet. I can watch and enjoy a game(and root for the Blue Jackets, obviously), but I'm nowhere near what I would call a true fan.

Either way, after watching MSU/Michigan play in the Big House, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

See a game in person. Hockey doesn't broadcast well.

Where the hell were you this summer? I went to 3 Braves games...did a great architectural tour of Atlanta and Athens and we were supposed to meet for coffee to discuss socialized medicine versus market driven system...in short used missed out on lunch.

Dude sorry. Actually moved to Houston in June for a new job and it kicked my arse for several months (so I was MIA). Sorry!

The Olympics fueled my Crosby hate even further. Freaking sucks (realtively) the whole time, while guys like Nash and Iginla are beasting, and of course, the puck just happens to bounce to him for the winner in the gold medal game.

You would need the NFL to move Heaven and earth in order to make a winter classic at New Meadowlands a reality.

Jets and giants would need to agree to away games late in the season. Steelers agreed to two away ges to end season in order to make the Pittsburgh game happen.

Some flexibility could be offered if new years day came on a weekday.

Totally with you on this. The game winning goal was entirely set up by Iginla mucking in the corner. He took the puck from two guys and then passed it right to the tape. Yet Iggy gets no credit for it. He was the guy who made the play.

Pisses me off.
