Wow

Huge risk

Huge reward

I like the pick

Nats and Bucs won't have any money to sign any other of their top ten round picks

I'll settle for him or Purke turning out to be a pro pitcher

What's the word on Purke this year? Haven't heard anything

Giolito will be a tough tough sign

Highest ceiling in Draft

Kinda wanted the Braves to select him. Plus, his upside is so huge that if you take Stras and pair him with Giolito, you have a pair of aces.

Purke was dealing with an injury huh? Think he's in double A.

Nationals total bonus pool is $4.4 million. Even with 5% overage, they have $4.7M for 10 guys. Will be interesting to see what they offer.

Matt Purke, LHP, Nationals (Low-A Hagerstown): 5 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 5 BB, K. Official pro debut; stuff was way off with 86-90 mph fastball and little command.

Is Nick Thurman from Belle Chasse going to get drafted?

I doubt he'll ever amount to anything struggling to throw 90 with no control.

I'd be pumped for Giolito, kid's upside is scary.

Has any player, ever, in history, been comped to Dee Gordon and Joe Morgan in the same breath?

Yes

He'll make it to school though.

Big body, left handed hitting C with solid defensive skills.

I actually played in a wood bat league with him
