According to the races so far today, you need to be close to the pace to win. Closers not having much success. Will have to see if it stays that way throughout the day.

Yeah, I don't know squat about horse racing. Did a little reading and saw that Went The Day Well has some Secretariat in him from the female side, which is supposed to be the Secretariat's better line. And, he won his last race.

I don't know squat either, but I've been reading up all morning and asking advice from everyone I know that does know a lil something. I keep changing my mind on my exact strategy, but I think I'm going to bet the board on tw horses, probably I Got Indy, Dullahan, and then bet on first and second on one of the favorites....Can't decide which one to pull the trigger on though.

You going to use twinspires, or go to an off track betting site?

I'm not sure. Never made a bet on the Derby before. The twinspires thing is advertising a free $100 to sign up. There has to be a catch though.

Has anyone ever used twinspires? Is it a trusted site to use?

Alright -- so selecting which horses would be 1, 2, and 3. I'm guessing any combo wins.
