yes...he actually benefited the most and least from the Greg Williams system...great when coming in but extra horrible when left out to dry. He and Smith are the two that I'm most afraid of being suspended (if any suspensions would be a result of 09)...maybe Ellis but I don't really see Greer, or Jenkins(barely played in 09 and usually nickle) getting hit. All the other DTs from 09 and the opposite end DEs are gone, I HOPE shanle gets suspended forever and ever, and anyone else in the secondary or line joined the team in 10, 11, or 12

I'm convinced we go undefeated the last 3 seasons without him

He really should just cut himself and give the money to Brees.

You also have a defense that is going to suffer some serious loss when the player suspensions are handed out.
like who? Vilma and Smith? Vilma is a backup this year, we will be fine

You don't have Carl Nicks who made your OL look MUCH better than what they actually are
took care of that in free agency

. That team that won the Lombardi isn't on the field anymore.
no, but we've owned the falcons for a good bit of time. We were much better last year and will be this year

However, we have the inside track to the NFC South crown this year.

Thanks for joining the party so late. You might as well have copy and pasted your response from the others in this thread because you said the exact same thing.

You are correct, your offense will be just as efficient as it was last year. However, defense wins championships.
so our offense will be just as good?
We've upgraded big time on defense

You lost your offensive coordinator (Payton). That was a HUGE part of your winning was the fact that he and Brees were able to dissect teams together. He is not allowed to have any sort of contact what so ever with anyone in the NFL, and I can assure you that he is not stupid enough to attempt it. If he does, he could be banned from the game forever. Vitt is gone for 6 games, so who is going to call the plays on offense? The Saints have a TON of issues on the offensive side of the ball that could prevent them from being the juggernaut that they have been.
make up your mind. Vitt is a linebackers coach and we'll have the guy who was calling the plays for a portion of last season calling them this year.

Saints and Bama fans are the worst in sports. Their team will never lose and any time you think they might you've gone full retard. They need to realize that not having their head coach for an entire season (w/ no contact to anyone related to the team) is going to be bad.

who has said that won't hurt us? We have arguably the most talented team in the NFL though. That still wins football games
If the Colts can make the super bowl with a 1st year head coach, the Saints can win the division with a much better team

the Saints are not the best team in the NFL talent wise, are you kidding me?! Wow man..you would think that Saints fans would at least remember their roots and where they came from. All of a sudden a couple of division titles and 1 superbowl later, they think they've been the shite since their arrival to the NFL.

i was pretty on point with our schedule last year and i see no reason why i wont be again.
guarantee a playoff appearance and my guess is 10-6. absolute best case scenario is 12-4 (like if some garbage kicker cant make a gimme and if some other team gets owned by roddy white after a pick) and worst case scenario with a healthy team is probably 9-7 and no playoffs. dont really expect anything outta the playoffs so im pretty positive i wont really be disappointed in the year regardless.

who is better? why is that such a stretch?
We just set records for having the best offense in NFL history. The only 2 teams that should be in the discussion IMO are Packers and Patriots
I'm not sure what the Saints doing before Brees got here has anything to do with the Saints right now as far as talent goes.

Im gonna go out on a limb here and say that the Giants and 49ers are better than the Saints. They both made it to the NFC championship game. You can have all the records you want as an offense, but it takes a team to win, and the Saints do not have the best TEAM in the NFL. Best offense? Sure, yea, i'll give you that.

that isn't what I stated. I said that the Saints were arguably the most talented team in the NFL. We out-talented the 49ers, but fumbled the game away on punts and kickoffs.

Fine I'll accept it, the falcons will never beat the saints ever again. It's just what I have to deal with being an Atlanta sports fan. I hate myself.

we own the giants over the last few years and raped them during the season...just because they made the NFC championship game doesn't make them a more talented team.
the 2007 giants weren't more talented than the 2007 patriots

The Miami Hurricanes year in and year out had the most talented recruiting classes, and guess where that got them? Games aren't won on paper their chief. They are won by the play on the field. Nice excuse you used in your defeat post about how the Saints didn't lose the game. They "fumbled" it away. Face it dude, they fricking lost.
