Not gonna watch the video(too much lag time via my POS pc), but if it's too much of an advantage for an offense on 4th or in the last 2 minutes, it should be too much every other time of the game. Make up your fricking mind--should it be allowed or not? Be consistent.

I know that midget. He was my neighbor growing up in slidell. His dad, also a midget, was part of the staff in the 80s or was a ballboy or something. I remember seeing a picture in their house but he looked too old to be a ball boy.

His wife was also a midget, but her sister and mom were both normal height.

That was like 3 or 4 minutes after the actual play.

You must have been REALLY excited about that TD, lol.

shouldn't be any special fumble rule on 4th down or in the last 2 minutes.

I agree with the rule in the final 2 minutes, but it's a good rule on 4th down, IMO.

Its to prevent intentional fumbles. If its 4th down and you are being tackled, there isn't much to lose by fumbling and hoping it bounces to one of your players. If the other team recovers, no biggie, its still there ball.

Exactly why it's a good rule on 4th down.

But I do agree with HotCarl that it's silly to have that rule only for the last 2 minutes.

Why? Any other time the person who take a huge huge gamble by trying to fumble the ball forward. Usually there are more defensive than offensive players on that side of the ball. If its not 4th down, then you have a huge risk of giving up a lot of field position by turning over the ball. And of course there's always the risk of fumbling forward out of the end-zone.

How can you say he fumbled INTENTIONALLY....Were you not watching the same game??

He was trying to stretch the ball over the line and the defender stripped him>>

Actually, I think it was Danielson that said something along the lines of "would that negate the catch and cause an in-completion" when the Arky WR fumbled the ball before getting in the endzone.

why was this play even reviewed?

the ball either crossed the goal line before the fumble or the recovered and scored a TD. Verne and Gary trying to make a big deal out of it was laughable.
