Good luck to all of the elite and charity runners today. Pretty good weather conditions for the runners, not so much for the spectators.

One of the best days of the year in the city.

Probably the best conditions in 5 years, especially after the forecast looked so bad. A tad warm, but not bad, and finally a tailwind year.

Got the live stream on just in time for the start of the mens race! Lets do this!!!
It's also 6 years to the day of the bombing. I was one of the charity runners that year and slow... I was stopped about a half mile before the finish line. Wife was at the finish line. Took many hours to get in touch with her and turned out she was ok. The time that I did not know was the longest hours of my life.

Wow. Incredible. Had to be unbelievably scary.

I ran it two years later and it was insane how much emotion there was around the course.

I am about to head out to race to in a bit. Around Copley. Any tips on where to eat/drink?

Wherever you can get in, honestly. It's going to be a shitshow.

Try going off Boylston and check out the wait at some of the restaurants on Newbury Street: Stephi's and Cafeteria are good options.

My friends went to support our buddy who was running it the year after the bombing. That was a special experience for sure.

I still get choked up when I see the girl who had her leg blown off by those evil fricks finishing the same race a couple years later with a prosthetic.

Went there Friday. Wasn’t bad. I should have thought to get into FBD earlier to ask.

Did trillium yesterday, got some sip of sunshine at corner bar the other night and been drinking pretty well.

I was at Trillium Saturday night. There was a good crowd what with it being the first nice weekend of the year and Marathon weekend.

ETA: You can also go inside the Pru and see if there's any open seats at Eataly.

Since I did not finish in 2013, the BAA invited me back (as well as others that meet a certain criteria) in 2014. The on course support was amazing that year. I thought it was awesome in 2013 as well, but the place was packed!

The women's race is interesting so far. Worknesh is on pace for a top 10 course record. It will be interesting if she can hold the pace through the hills.

It did not disappoint! I've never seen a marathon finish like it. Less than a second, an amazing race.
