Well what's the problem? What's messing up his short game?

Its already been 5 years and he is getting older........ HE USED to make great shots ALL the time. Now it just once in a great while....

I know you love to be right all the time, youre using a little bit of revisionist history here. Tiger never hit great shots "ALL the time" he made mistakes just like any other golfer, but he gave himself enough scoring chances and was good enough at scrambling for par he could overcome them.

Once again, scrambling and hitting scoring clubs has nothing to do with age, it has more to do with his swing and mental mindset more than anything. IMO he try's to hit the perfect shot too many times nowadays because he has to press from being so conservative the majority of the time.

Tiger is always really close to the top of the board at Augusta. He'll get a couple there. Out of sheer inevitability.

His age and the "tiger factor" don't have a thing to do with hitting the ball 125 yards and in.

Sure it does.. His Confidence level is shrinking BIGTIME, Other players are catching up with him and he KNOWS he doesn't have IT anymore... I am not sure you understand what HE is going through. Its very hard to be SOOOO dominant at one point and then it almost vanishes so fast......

Well, what's the alternative now? Gotta be a guy from the Senior tour to help mentor him through this.

Somebody he liked.

His new swing is the problem, it's great for longer clubs, but he comes in too steep on his scoring clubs and consequently he has far less distance control than he used to.

Watch some old highlights, he takes out a much bigger divot in the last 2 or 3 years than he ever has with his wedges

His ego wouldn't allow him to do it, but I think Butch Harmon is the answer.

I thought the same thing. It's pretty obvious actually.

I wouldn't be surprised if he swallowed his pride in exchange for making a real run at the GOAT.

Very serious. Just a few examples.

Bethpage in 2002, he three putted 2 of the first 4 holes.

Masters 05, everyone remembers his chip in on 16 but forgets he bogied the last 2 holes to let dimarco back in for a playoff

I never said that and I enjoy debating golf with you. You know the game. I like that. But I think his mind is not all the way there YET.....

I think it's too late in the game to go back to Harmon, I think he's stuck with the Foley swing for his career. He can't afford another 2 years stretch trying to learn a new swing

I'll agree with that. The Foley swing is also holding him back in regards to his wedge play

If the #1 golfer in the world has no shot to win majors.... They may need to change how that math works

I just don't understand how Tiger and Phil can be so terrible at hitting the driver in the fairway. It seems like someone with their ability and resources could figure it out.
