I know this was brought up earlier, but with Woody Austin's 4 stroke penalty for having an extra club, I thought of an issue. Since he didn't realize it until the 3rd hole, and the max penalty is 4 shots, could he have just said, frick it, I'm taking a 4 shot penalty anyway, so I'll just keep the 15 clubs? Or is that an additional penalty or DQ for knowing about the additional club and not removing it?

Yea, just found the rule:

The player must not use the club or clubs for the remainder of the stipulated round.
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF RULE 4-4c: Disqualification.

Yea, you have to declare which one is the extra club and not use it.

That was really bad from 10 feet. He didn't even scare the hole. It really is amazing how he can putt so well one week then look so bad the next.
