I went to roll my bonds 9 months and all the US Treasuries minimum was 225k or more on Charles Schwab. I have never had that trouble usually there always some that minimum is just $1k.

Any idea why? I ended up buying a February because it had a lower minimum

It's not uncommon. Whoever is on the other side of the trade wants the whole position to move.

The bonds that you can buy in increments are probably part of Schwab's internal inventory. The listings for Fill or Kill type orders are most likely individuals posting their positions.

What CUSIP? I've occasionally see Fidelity not having anything available for a minimum of $1k but pretty rare.

I just looked at the 5 treasuries that mature in April 2025. At Fidelity, every one is available for purchase at a min on of $1k.

You may need to broaden your search date to find available lots that fit your needs. I have purchased from Schwab in increments as little as $1,000.
