JPMCB smart retirement passive blend 2045 find- class CF-D
Vs
Northern Trust Collective s&p 500 index fund-dc-non lending
Early 40s here….looking to set it and forget it for the most part- ok changing up yearly or so.

The S & P index one. Those target date funds suck. Withe the S & P index you will ne well diversified among stocks and mirror the benchmark for the US stock market. You don’t want bonds at your age

4/4 on the s&p500.
But make sure you build an emergency fund. Keep enough money in it that you should never need to pull money out of stocks in a major downturn.

No need to try to decide when to change. The answer could be never. Your financial picture that far into the future will likely be quite different.
