I don't have near what you have in regards to valuable pieces, mainly just bulk, but I have mine in a 800lb gun safe. I honestly wouldn't feel comfortable in anything less.

It causes me some concern periodically but I haven't done anything to fix the issue.

Russian mentioned earlier that he likes to give gifts that are realted to birth years and what not, and that is so neat.
The humorous thing is the first thing my kids did when I gave them their Morgan New Orleans minted silver dollars (in perfect uncirculated condition, btw) which were issued 100 years prior to their year of birth was to ask me to put their coins in my safe deposit box, where they have stayed. I wrote their names on their coins but they never see them.

I could see mine taking it and trying to put it in a vending machine to get a bouncy ball.

Dude, you can pick up a gun safe like that used for around $500... Mine is prob 5.5' x 3' x 3'x and 800lbs... That thing isn't going anywhere without someone noticing.

Where?

I don't remember where we got mine, its been about 8yrs. It was either by word of mouth or in the paper.
Most of the time, people don't want to move the bastards, so they will just sell them. I've already moved mine twice and WILL NOT be doing it again. I'll just buy a new fricking safe and have it delivered.
Advice, if you buy one, take the door off before you attempt to move it. The door alone weighs about 200lbs

Broke, do you have any currency that is stamped with "Hawaii"?
Came across a $1 and $5 at the local coin shop and I really want them.

What do you guys think of the price on this?

If I can get enough from my tax return, I am looking to purchase.

I don't have one but I've seen them. I think they made north Africa notes too

Those are beautiful coins but at $80 each, I'd say they are overpriced.
You can usually get an uncirculated Morgan in the $50-$60 range on eBay.
But then again, those coins are nice!

My initial thought.

Here is my google search of CC Morgan Dollar. Granted, they may be key dates and I would not know what dates I would receive going by the APMEX description.

I confess I didn't notice that one of the 5 coins in the ad you linked to was an uncirculated Carson City Morgan. That alone will skew the average for those coins greatly.
Maybe $80 each with one of the coins a CC is a fair price.
I know (because I just checked) that O, Philadelphia and S uncirculated Morgans can be won for $60 or less on eBay if you show some patience, but an uncirculated CC will be $175+.
I have two CC Morgans, an 1878 and an 1891 but neither is uncirculated. Both are probably in the "good" to "fine" category and I paid $49 and $57 for them, respectively, on eBay.

I agree with that. I guess the CC dollar is going to be the most valuable. I think there are better deals out there.

Broke & Russian, thanks for the input... I will continue to look around.

Go read Russian's post again. After looking at it, if it is indeed an uncirculated CC, that is going to be a $200+ coin. This brings the pricing of the other coins down. I actually think this may be a decent deal now. Considering a really shitty circulated Carson City dollar is going to run you $75

From the description, Each 5 coin set contains a Brilliant Uncirculated Morgan Silver dollar from the Philadelphia, New Orleans, Denver, Carson City, and San Francisco mints.
Also, I did not mean I was giving up on that one, just going to guage what the prices would be of each. Plus I got a little time before I get my tax return.

I have to ask, did you find this sale on one of TD's advertisements? TD's advertisements are looking very similar to what you are thinking about buying, or atleast the advertisements selected for me. Here is a screenshot of the bottom of the page when I was viewing this thread a few minutes ago:

No, they do follow me though. Best I can tell, the ads 95% of the time match what I am searching that day. I actually was just searching APMEX for Morgans and came across that at the bottom of the search.
The other 5% of the time I have ads like I have now, Sports Authority and Centura College. WTF. Been to neither today, or ever for that matter.
My guess would be you clicked on my link and it went into your ad queue or what not.
ETA: The ad at the bottom near the topics of interest for me is one about rolling your IRA into silver.

Yea I am seeing the IRA to silver now. I wasn't trying to hijack this thread, I just thought I would point out the ad on the bottom was the exact same thing you posted above.
Tracking ads are creepy as hell, anything I do on my android now, results in spam emails with titles that are reflective of my search history for any given point in time.
