Has the stock reached bottom yet? It has to eventually come back up right? At the end of the day it's still a duopoly.

Stocks don’t “have” to anything. I haven’t taken a close look at Boeing, but the upcoming 2020 election would scare me away from it more than anything. A strong possibility that democrats take back the WH and I’d imagine defense spending is going to be a hot item for them. That’s just one variable, plenty of others that could make Boeing as a stock struggle.

I know this is not the PT board, but this is an interesting take.

Usually the markets wily overreacts to these things.
It's obviously dropped, but doesn't seem to have been enough imo. Still higher than it was in Dec.

Boeing still has the T-X, Huey replacement, Navy drone, F-15X. They aren’t going anywhere. And the commercial side will be fine. Doesn’t hurt that they control most of Embraer’s business either.

If the Ds run an appealing moderate candidate, then I personally believe they take the WH back.

The Cruz/Beto race in Texas told us a lot, in my opinion. Some of the more affluent areas in Dallas that lean R, Cruz underperformed Trump. I believe that some of those key counties like that are going to be a bellweather for some key swing states.

Just my amateur opinion, but I think a moderate D could take places like Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania which were key to Trumps victory in 2016.

But that guy, currently, doesn't exist. Or is somewhere in the shadows.

But back to the original point, the possibility of the WH changing hands is not "strong". At least not right now.

Remember, Boeing is still $50 higher now than the first week of January.

It was a local Texas issue, Republicans in those affluent areas of Texas hated Cruz, it was personal.

Still some room to fall IMHO

Its at the point that any single incident going forward is going to be so blown out of proportion lots of orders could be dropped.

and here we go.

There was one 737 Max in the air worldwide yesterday and it had to declare a mayday and make an emergency landing.

Wouldn't expect any movement due to yesterday's isolated incident.
Let's see how the FAA's senate hearing is going to go.

Not so easy to claim that with a straight face at this point.
