It depends on what you want to do. If you’re interested in Fed Tax and deal work an LLM can be worth it. Most of the benefits of an LLM come from actually going to an institution and making connections with other future tax professionals. NYU, Georgetown and Florida will do this for you.
Are you a CPA? If so, a JD/CPA in my mind is enough. Although if you’re looking to go in house later on an LLM may be a plus.

I got mine at Villanova about 13 years ago. Best professional move I ever made.

I went to UF for my tax llm. Super cheap if you live in state. I own a small firm so really hasn't been much of a benefit for me. Definitely not a detriment though

Go find BBonds on the PT board. I think he has an LLM in tax.

I went to UF as well.
OP, if your schtick on the Outdoor Board is for real and not a troll, I wouldn’t bother applying to NYU, UF or Georgetown

If you’re in a city with a strong program and locally the attorneys are LLMs from that program, and you don’t see yourself leaving that network, it may be worth it. If you are in Philadelphia, for example, and never want to leave and your boss at Deloitte has an LLM from Temple, do it. If you’re in Atlanta and your boss has an LLM from NYU and you’re thinking about doing the online program at Cal Poly, pause, and think about what you’re going to spend and why. Having an LLM in tax does not mean automatically people think you know what you’re doing. In fact, I’ve found for some it makes them look like they had no plan and just got an llm.
