I just hopped on Zillow out of morbid curiosity and this is the most incredible flood of $1M+ listings I've ever seen in any market, pages of homes listed in the last 48 hours. I think it's just getting started and people are already getting trampled in the exit door. It's bonkers. This market could easily chop down 50% by summer.

I thought all the government workers moved away from DC and were working from home in cheaper areas

The listings are probably by investors, liberal think tank people, and NGO lobbyists.

The GOV workers probably still don't make enough money to live in DC.

Maybe they didnt sell and were renting them out. Now that the money is gone they get to stay in the cheap areas
