Structured ETFs

Anyone in one of these or something similar? I think they are called structured ETFs

Are these really what they say they are? upside limited 8,9,10% depending on when you get in, but basically no downside?

I can tell you this, these "structured ETFs" or any other equally complex financial instruments are never quite what they seem. 9/10 times you're better off with the simpler products (and they're far cheaper).

Very high expense ratios compared to if you just bought the ETF it's tracking
