Have a friend who worked in inside sales at a business, it is a large company but this wasn't a large branch. Everyone in the branch who worked in the office was white. They brought in an African American male with no experience who was younger than him and had less education, not a college grad. Well my friend finds out they are paying the new guy 40% more than him and they want my friend to train him, my friends manager brings this up to the corporate office about the pay discrimination, the next day they fire my friends boss and two days later they fired my friend. Is there anything here?

How did your friend "find out" the black guy was making more?

It's legal in all 50 states to discriminate against white males.

If by legal, you mean mandatory, then yes.

This may be a legitimate case, though.

It happens every day. A lot of companies also have a policy against discussing pay and that may also be involved here.

It is beyond outrageous, imagine if the offended party had been black or female or homosexual etc.

I don't think this is true, considering it violates the Civil Rights Act.

1. there's no such thing as reverse discrimination. It's all discrimination.

2. whites can not be discriminated against.

3. The law says that you must discriminate against whites.

4. I doubt the part of the story about the black kid making. 40% more, unless he's related to somebody.

5. if true, your friend needs a lawyer. sure, it's an at-will state, but they are still required to adhere to federal standards. then again, the company is white and he is white so its hard to get discrimination out of that just because the favored guy is black.

wtf?

Right-to-work just means that an employer is banned from requiring union dues to be paid as a condition of employment.

they will probably say he violated some company policy that led to his termination. He really doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Know a guy that won a case similar to this in Louisiana. He sued the shite out of a school board for hiring a Principal that was way less qualified than him. The school was >80% black and the board thought it would go over better to hire someone who was black. Even though they were less qualified. Your friend ought to sue their arse if this information is true that your telling us IMO

White males arentconsiderednpart of the protected class.
Women, gays, other minorities are.
La is an at will state.
In a nutshell, at times being white and a male in America sucks, especially when it comes to some sort of involvement with corporate America and a minority is involved.
They try way to fricking hard.

All lesbians should be shot and killed.
Harsh? Perhaps.

Maybe. It all depends on a lot of details you haven't mentioned yet.

For example, if your friend found out the new guy's salary through "snooping" then that just might be grounds for termination. Race might have nothing to do with it.
