They’re not prosecuting anyone for ~20% of the value of the gift cards you received. The IRS is so understaffed they’re only answering 10% of their phone calls, let alone auditing stuff like this.

What have you decided? I'm on the same boat. I can't get a clear answer online if IRS knows my payments to my debit card. Really stuck here.

I'm going to call a CPA on Monday to see what they say. If they can put my mind at ease about not filing, I'll let it go.
But, if they leave me just as unsure as before, then I'll file and at least sleep easier.

I sold plasma many years ago when I was in college to pay for a used bass boat.Went twice a week ,got $60.00 a month,payment was $65.00.
They paid in cash in those days,I never reported it.
