I totally agree.
Not a big enough difference between versions and most people recognize that when they come out...so they wait.
Build up the hype by releasing every other year by having better upgrades.
(I'm sure there is some sort of cost/benefit analysis. One the surface, and due to the lack of yearly upgrades, every other year seems like a better/more profitable idea.)
