Say I got fired in December, and just now got my Termination of Benefits letter 3 months later, is that still an open enrollment opportunity to get on my wife's insurance?
By the way, this is hypothetical, I am gainfully employed.
Also, I posted here and not OT-Lounge because I expect serious answers. I will be very disappointed in any of you looking for attention with smartass comments.

Pretty sure there will be a time limit. May be different for everyone.

You have a 30 day window for qualified life events. I believe it’s a sixty day window to elect Cobra. Wife’s company doesn’t give a hoot when you received paperwork.

They do if they have a 125 plan and want to stay in compliance.
To answer the OP you have 30 days after losing qualified coverage.

Details matter. People love to come on the MB with ‘hypotheticals’ and not give the actual important details of the issue that likely affect the answer.
