I don't think anyone in here, even Rocket, are talking about buying HEX a year ago nor saying it was a bad move. The majority of the HEX talk on this board has been in the past ~4 months.

Can't answer that right now. I'd disagree with Rocket there and say no because I think Pulse will rise fast after it goes live. However, if for some reason Pulse stumbles out the gate, then you missed some big crypto gains in most coins while tying up your sacrificed funds.
However, we won't know for sure if it was a good move until it actually goes live.

My play will probably be to sacrifice a nice chunk for pulseswap and use that token to swap for more pulse instead of using my phex or ehex.
ETA: People would KILL for an opportunity to go back in time to sacrifice again for pulse. That's a fact.
