Okay well TY for the insight - Rocket + Tduecen helped me a bit when it comes to buying on CB and sending to Binance so that's mostly the route I go. I know some of you fellas have been talking favorably about Electra + Fun, I just thought the sending over exchange to exchange as being taxable... I was about to shite myself

yes sir, I'm waiting to get my check from work so I can get more.

Not sure what I made in commission so I don't to blindly just buy a crap ton and then not get me a 1.5k -2k check. I see no reason to live paycheck to paycheck on something this volatile

Any advice for how to calculate the long term max potential of a coin?

Example: In 10 years TRX has accomplished everything they set out to do...based on their cap and coins in circulation, it would be reasonable for the value to be XXXX

I wouldn't know that would be more of a Jones/Rocket type of question. I know many of these coins have a cap based on what is in circulation though and it varies.

I think the reason I can't find better answers is because there is a difficulty in defining what a reasonable market cap is for some of these coins.

I like numbers and tech so this is all pretty fun outside of just investing.

Any of you running a P&L spreadsheet for yourholdings? Wanna share it?

I am used to being able to check it on TD Ameritrade or Etrade with one click but with this shite, and all the different sites one has to use sometimes, the only way to do it is a spreadsheet.

No because currency (which is what these coins are trying to be) was never meant as an investment vehicle and crypto is too volatile. You don't see the dollar or pound fluctuate like crypto does. These aren't fortune 500 companies and all crypto investing is driven mostly by speculation.

Hard to say, and with a 10 year projection like youre asking, I would say its next to impossible.

90% of these coins arent going to exist in a few years

Obviously coin supply # is a huge thing in how high a coin could go in terms of USD. Something like Ripple will never be BTC's price. This doesnt mean much to me because it is all when you get in.

When picking alts for long term, I usually look for a few things. I like the coin to be from an established company (ie. OMG). A working product is a major plus. For very small value coins (and larger ones to an extent), I like to look for a real world use, usually a niche market use. See Lomocoin for that.

Not trying to keep "everyone honest" and I know my posting in these threads upset some people. I am just being realistic because I think people need to temper expectations and reality of what this is.

I have taken larger positions in Crypto the past few weeks because I will ride whatever wave makes me money while I can but I am being realistic about it. 10 year projections make very little sense when dealing with crypto in its current state. 10 month projections don't even make sense because again these aren't actual companies and we are in uncharted water.

Projections about crypto by anyone are pure speculation because it's not like there are earnings reports to go off of or anything so when you are asking someone something about a coin it's just that persons opinion. People need to remember that in case they bite off more than they can chew and lose it all.

At the end of the day people need to remember the old saying "A fast nickel is better than a slow dime" Crypto is a get in and get out investment in my opinion.
