So...is it still worth to buy in now? What website do I use and how do I do this process?

I see that linking your bank account and ID you can up your limit per week, where are you purchasing from? And what should I purchase, only Ethereum? Or should I spread it around to the others?

ETA: So the smartest is start with coinbase? Make and account, add my bank account and ID, and get the 2 step verification, and start purchasing from there?

I like coinbase because they have a solid relationship with Fidelity. Also, I can't use Kraken because I live in NY. I am also still waiting for verification Gemini.

So I should go that route? What I said is pretty much the go to at the moment?

I found it to be the best user experience. I am not sure how their fees compare to others. I think I paid $36 on a $2,500 transaction. While the fee was high, coinbase verified me immediately on Friday and allowed me to jump in and catch some of the run.

Also, Fidelity will soon allow their clients to view their coinbase account on the Fidelity platform. Says a lot about coinbase since Fidelity is very conservative.

All the Ethereum news is incredible. I feel pretty lucky to have caught it before $80. Wish I would have seen it when it was stuck on $50 for a couple of months. This chump should have started this thread back in January when it was below $10.

But from the way the news sounds $170 Eth is going to seem very cheap soon.

A guy I work with has a few friends heavy in cryptocurrency. One got in at $8 and the other at $13. Each have over 1,000 coins. I hate them

Can anyone shed light on why USD to BTC exchange rates are so varied? Seeing some exchanges at 2290 and some as low as 2250.

This is probably a dumb question, but couldn't you just buy x number of BTC at the 2240 exchange and then sell for 2290 immediately after?

God damnit, tried to put my bank account info and immediately got the 24 hour wait period. Now I can't add any payment info. INB4 it shoots up to 200 and I have to pay that price..

Try it on a different browser. Anytime I tried to do anything on my phone it gave me that alert but when I went to chrome on my computer it worked right away.

ya, coinbase is the safest. it is FDIC insured

thats why its getting so much volume (which it cant handle)

bots do take advantage of arbitrage opportunities but its difficult do so because it takes awhile to confirm each transaction

one could put their coins in various exchanges and then trade in different directions on each but often times the prices are less than 1% so its risky.

So arbitrage is only viable during the small windows when the btc market is on fire?

arbitrage is possible with any coin.

and we can see big windows, at times, in prices if a whale dumps a lot of ETH (for example) in one exchange while another exchange is trading normally
