there is a strong commraderie amongst the investors in this thread, its been one to look forward to for many people, and several people have made thousands, any irrational dissension is going to get grilled.

Oops. And it could have been worse.
So I wanted to take part in the Civic ICO. To do so, you needed to have ETH or BTC to use but could not send from an exchange. I have ordered a ledger but won't be in until July so I have kept my stuff on exchanges although it is not recommended.
Set up myetherwallet.com last night and transferred 1 ETH from GDAX. Almost transferred all I had there but at last second did just 1 just to make sure it worked. Should have done less than 1. Still has not shown up in myetherwallet.com
My slot came and went on the ICO and couldn't purchase because zero account balance in myetherwallet.com. For some reason also at my slot time only gave option of ETH and not bitcoin.
Not sure what I did wrong to tell you what to do different.
Edit. Holy crap. Deposit finally showed up. Almost 17 hours later.
