Yea that's what i was thinking. The network would probably be distributed in a way just so everyone still knows it's fair and un attackable not just for profit

Their website won't load. What's OHM's utility?

Anyone have info on Gamecoin? They are coming by my gym today to talk about it, so I went to their website and realized they don't give shite for info about the coin itself. Scammy as frick.

I'm gonna pepper them with questions.

Questions I've come up with so far:
- Backed by VCs? (How was money raised?)
- Initial Token distribution?
- Lock up period for team and VC funds?
- Max supply?
- Inflation rate?
- How is new GME generated?
- Any burn mechanics?
- What blockchain will tokens be on?
- Are athlete tokens NFTs or ERC-20 tokens?
- Fees to spend GME on the platform?

ETA

On second thought, if I have to ask that many questions, it is probably not worth my time to go to the gym to talk to them.

. Unfortunately true. Hype is all they need for a quick buck.

Read my posts on it. I did extensive research on it including talking to their reps when things weren't adding up.

Every 3 billion tokens transacted, 240 million tokens get dumped by the smart contract.

It's hard enough to win when it's zero sum. Don't walk away from GME, run.

Government subsidy kinda goes against what BTC stands for though right? It has government shrinking potential but will be subsidized by the world governments? It makes sense everyone will have a vested interest in protecting it but that will be quite the shift.

Also very interesting to think thru China’s stance on banning mining, BTC, etc. On one hand there could be a scenario where all other governments begin to shrink while they stay the same size which makes them most powerful from a military standpoint. Longer term it could mean they get left behind and it has the opposite effect?

Those are all good questions.

Anybody can make a basic ERC-20 token in an hour. It’s around 30-40 lines of Solidity code. Unless it has real utility that solves a novel problem, then it’s useless.

I did, thanks. I decided I am not even gonna spend my time going to meet the guy and ask these questions. I wasn't really considering investing but thought maybe he'd be a good contact to learn how to get into the crypto industry, but I don't think I want to associate with someone making such an obvious ponzi shitcoin.

It's a relatively new reserve cryptocurrency for Defi that is backed by a stablecoin treasury.

It has some unique incentives in the space. Check out their discord or website.

It's not a ponzi, but the tokenomics are fighting you; the worst I've ever seen. You can't have a massive 240 million token dump every two days and expect the price to continue appreciating.

I know it's not meant to be a scam. I somewhat see their vision, though it's definitely a weird way to do that. I was referring to the ponzinomics.

It's like that shitcoin SIMP I posted about the other day, I wound up not investing in that either. I have never gained any money off of a total shitcoin, and I have to keep that in mind. Well, I made money off of Titan but I only ever used stablecoins to farm Titan and sell it off.
