people are buying on coinbase and transferring to poloniex, bittrex, gdax, etc

You can sell and put the gains in the USD wallet. The funds are available immediately after that for use

Nope, never touched that but I made a damn good profit on STEEM today and now im riding the ripple train.
ETA: I've been watching and waiting on ripple to get a nice bump but it looks like this bump is yet another crap shoot.
