quote:yeah. you can put btc, eth, link, ltc, usdc, busd, usdt, and a few others in there
If I have btc, eth, and a few other coins In Coinbase Pro and bittrex, can I transfer them to blockfi?

yea. i use a few services and never had a problem. if you want to withdrawal your coins blockfi makes you take pictures and upload an ID again which is annoying but it's for security purposes
these lending outlets will be mainstream soon.i wouldn't be surprised if the legacy banks start offering crypto yield to compete. why hold dollars in a bank for 0.05% apy when you can get 10% at blockfi?

Haven't tried withdrawal from blockfi yet, but just tried celcius yesterday and it takes 24 hours for a new key withdrawal

yea well blockfi it was kinda awkward. had to do a 360 headshot.

quote:yeah, i'm very tempted to move my savings into stablecoins over at blockfi. only concerns are the amount of time it'll take to get my money back to my bank account since i think it's 3-5 days for a withdrawal from coinbase

I guess it really depends on your goal. I’m not really a swing trader, so I will probably wait until absolute bottom in 12 months or so and then all in on stuff
So you're gonna wait until the bull market is over to buy?

For BlockFi, for withdrawals do you have to exchange BTC/ETH/etc for a stablecoin to send to your bank account?

Had an infuriating debate with a coworker that wants Bitcoin banned or taxed to oblivion for being bad for the environment today
I feel like these people are robots taking in their input from the media and running a processor to regurgitate mangled talking points.

How is it bad for the environment? I have yet to look down in a parking lot and see a Bitcoin. I have seen plenty of pennies, dimes, nickels and quarters thougg

Pretty sure most energy used is renewable or captured waste energy.
And frankly people pay the fair market value for their energy, they can do with it what they please. If it concerns you, fix the electrical grid and switch to nuclear, but don’t make villains out of the end users.

He thinks that using the green energy means another more worthwhile cause doesn’t get the energy.
I gave up on it at that point.

Do you think all this talk is because threes people a pissed that they missed out on the early days of crypto? I mean I did too, but I don’t want the them banned/regulated in to oblivion.
If a politician is against it, how are they going to benefit from it? We all know they will gain something for it.

I am so confused. What does this have to do with Bitcoin being dangerous for the environment?
Posted on 4/23/21 at 6:12 pm to Outdoorreb
think it’s jealousy and ignorance with a touch of political bias against the government losing any amount of control
Posted on 4/23/21 at 6:13 pm to Outdoorreb
Bitcoin isn’t dangerous for the environment, but I just wanted to add that the environment FUD types can deal with it because people are paying for their energy and should be allowed to use it as they see fit.
