I'm still not seeing how this would work to launder money. To get it into the NFT you still need to transfer the cash...money which you've already accumulated elsewhere, which will be on the IRS' radar.
Walter White taught me that the laundering process is to make money made from illicit activities seem like money generated from legal means. This is not that.

Right, that's why art laundering is so effective. It allows for an ostensibly legal reason to move tens of millions of dollars around. Often, it involves non profit organizations on top of non profit organizations. The headlines don't actually show the depth of what goes on with this bullshite.
