check the LiDAR stock thread

IMO this appears to be price movement due to a news leak. It could be a strategic investor or a full buyout offer. I lean more towards it being an investor like Google, Microsoft, Intel, Ford, Ansys, or STMicroelectronics.

I've not been a MVIS investor long enough to know if they ever had a complete strategic focus on selling the company back in the early 2000s, but it was made official back in April of this year, after COVID hit and they lost the $100M smart speaker deal with a Tier 1 OEM, that they are strategically exploring alternatives such as merger and sale of the company. Was there a press release where they announced something similar in the past? I'm asking honestly; I don't know.

The CEO has confirmed multiple times this year during retail investor meetings, that selling the company is their sole focus right now. They've added BoD members with ties to Ford and Google this year. This has gone from $0.15 to $5 in 8 months. It's pretty obvious what is about to happen. Just go look at the recent LiDAR valuations of VLDR and LAZR. MVIS' CEO say because of the work they accomplished with Microsoft on Hololens 2, they are now years ahead of the competition in LiDAR. The IP/tech applies across both of these verticals.

Watch this video to learn what these auto OEM's like Ford will need in a LiDAR sensor. Listen to the specs. This is exactly what MVIS is planning to introduce in April 2021. Up to 20 MILLION data points in a small, affordable package.

maybe they announced it bc it's the last chance they got....it has always been a huge part of the investment thesis...always... this type of rumor has happened dozens of times...always straight in to a secondary, always... this is 100% like going to the casino... I def recommend staying away....

My best guess: this correction wave is likely going to bounce somewhere between 4.67-5.80.

The fib extension should then take us back up to $13-$18 within 60 days.

This ended up bouncing at 4.86. I was even able to snag 2500 shares between 4.68-4.80 in pre-market.

In the short term, this needs to clear 6.26 to make another run at that 10.61 target. I've upped my BO estimate closer to $25/share. Based on VLDR and LAZR market caps, this could be a $50/share stock. Someone will end up buying this company for at least $3b or $20/share. Still huge value here!

MVIS is the real deal. Their LIDAR is tiny compared to others. I’m loaded on shares, plan to add more too The tiny offering of $13 Million last month was a indication MVIS is perhaps close to a BO, otherwise a company would have a larger offering to last a year or more.
