Has anyone done any analysis on stocks rising after hours when Mad Money is on tv? I’m asking because yesterday I watched BYND (Beyond Meat) and ETSY (Etsy) rise as Cramer was pumping them or their CEO’s were being interviewed by Cramer.

Yesterday was just two cases so it’s anecdotal, but I’m wondering if anyone else has paid attention to this.

Well I imagine anytime a CEO is on tv it’s going to cause stock movement. And I imagine most ceo want to be on tv when they have something positive to say vs negative. I’d hate to have ceo who drives a stock price down every time they speak.

I've tried to scalp analyst recommendations on CNBC many times. I could never find any consistency in it short term. Was more like gambling.

That’s my point. If you know ahead of time who is going to be on the show, buy their stock early, wait for the CEO to be on the air and then sell before the interview ends. I think Cramer says who will be in Mad Money every morning around 8:55ish.

I mean you never know what a ceo is going to say and how the market will digest it...
