Will probably vary from area to area based on competition. Will take awhile to see the drop for consumers. There's certainly no shortage of lumber.

With diesel closing on on $6 a gallon I wouldn't expect much drop in prices even if the wood is cheaper. I thought the trucking industry was screwed up last year, this year its even worse. Loads cost almost double from last year when you can find a truck.

We ended up saving about $6K from our previous lumber quotes. Framing began today.

Unlikely, the Euro supply is low, so much they are importing from the eastern US for Ukraine.
