Heard some cars aren’t selling well so they are offering low interest rates.

Is this accurate?
Examples?

Absolutely accurate. Follow GuyDealership on X. He has a list of brands offering 0%.

Shopping for my daughter a car this week and did find some 0% financing, but for 36 months. This is fine, but most can't afford that large of a payment. I'm going to take the up front cash back offer, and use their financing. Most only require 6 months of payments before you can refi at your local bank or credit union.

The only low interest rates you'll see are through the manufacturer so thats where you'll have to check on depending on the make/model.

Usually the lowest interest rates are for less in demand cars they need to move, or say vehicles at the end of their life cycle about to refreshed/replaced with a next gen.

It's basically flipped from the norm of the last few years. When I bought my previous vehicle... six? years ago, 3rd party financing beat the brakes off of in house financing. When I purchased my current vehicle a year and a half or so ago, in house financing beat the brakes off of 3rd party financing.

Just shop around and see what you can get.

You also need to get the pricing before in house financing FIRST, then get the price with it. Plenty of companies not just car dealerships increase the purchase price to offer financing or lower financing, so all you end up doing is prepaying your interest. HVAC companies are notorious for this, there’s a low cash payment cost and then an increased cost to 0% interest over X months price.
