Have any of you guys registered a simple LLC with Louisiana lately? I'm just wondering how long approvals have been taking.

Interesting. Today is the fourth full business day for me. I filed last Wednesday.

Who did you make your registered agent? Make sure they accepted the appointment at the email you provided. Will not issue until then. Also, they are actually decent if you just call and ask if there is a hold up.

I made myself my agent, but haven't gotten an email.

I'll call them. Thanks!

Just talked to them. Non-expedited registrations are taking 4-6 days.

They were super helpful on the phone and picked up quickly. I avoided that because I assumed I'd be stuck on hold forever.

Generated one today. Paid the extra $$$ for expedited service and had name reservation and business registration within an hour or so of filing.

Sorry, I just defaulted to being an arse. I’m taking over a family business. It’s currently run as a sole proprietorship.

LLC was approved this afternoon.

It's incredible how many things are required once you have a W2 employee. All the licenses, tax accounts, registrations, workplace posters, etc...

We sure have a lot of government.

It took me 8 days to get one approved earlier this month.

Don't you love all the junk you get in the mail after you register your LLC from companies trying to trick you into paying fees for those labor posters, etc... I assume these companies just have bots that scan for new registrations and automatically send these out.

I got those too. My plan is to put all the labor posters in a shared folder that my one employee will have access to. He’ll be 100% remote, out on job sites, so this should satisfy requirements.
