Anyone know anyone that used this to get a house or condo? Ranacross this website www.lhfa.state.la.us/programs/homeownership/sf_downloads.php, but I was left a little confused on how to obtain some of this assistance.

its a pain in the butt. i call it bond money and you might want to get on the bond money list to have it waiting for you. standard mortgage issues the bond money loans you might want to try them.

Rural Development is still working very well for me! Rates are now down to 5% with no discount points...no PMI (funding fee is financed), and most suburban areas in Louisiana (including the city of Zachary, city of Central in EBR, all surrounding parishes) are property eligible!

as bignate said, contact standard mortgage for bond money loans. they are not always available and a real pain, but can be a little big better loan. however, with rates where there are now, that benefit would be less than it would be normally.

whatever you do, dont talk to bignate, he is a texas fan. <grins>
