F That. Go to r/wallstreetbets and learn how to basically gamble using the market because those autistic bastards aren't investing.

I'm gonna put money in Robin hood to learn and trade smaller stocks with. Basically to gamble with and to learn.
But I wanted to have an account with a bigger established long term option like TD Ameritrade as well to buy a few long term stocks and investments, plus I would like to get more experience and advanced eventually and everything in my research says you can outgrow Robinhood, but you won't outgrow something like TD Ameritrade or etrade or scottrade.

Have you ever heard of the app Acorns? Its a pretty cool concept you might be interested in also.

I have but everything I read about says it's more of handing your money to a virtual stock trader who packages all of the users together instead of managing your own portfolio.
Although it's not a bad option to throw some money in and hands free hope it grows.
Is that your understanding?

It is. The rollover concept is cool IMO. Would be a good way to save money to dump into your own investment account as you grow.

Robinhood is in Beta testing for both Web access and options trading on their platform I believe. Wouldn't be shocked if they have both available in the next 6-12 months.

Ustocktrade has $1 fees and unlimited day trades. Robinhood has no fees but you are limited to 3 day trades per week if your account is under 25k
I’m confused; the pattern day trader rule is a FINRA regulation, how does Ustocktrade skirt that rule?

One of the big negatives I've seen is it can be a bit of a time consuming bitch to get your money out. That's where I'm a little wary on Acorn. A few people have complained that they saw some gains, requests to take their money out, and then the gains were gone before they cashed out.
However, I'd guess those people were trying to just pull out at every small gain which is not the point of the app and thus renders their criticism a tad disingenuous.

I have it and never had those issues. I let it do the rollover on my credit and debit cards then I pull it here and there to deposit it to my brokerage account. I let it run all year last year and my return was a hair over 14%.

Seeking alpha is a great place to read articles that might help with general information and specific analysis of certain companies.

Our previous correspondence was deleted on here about Robinhood.
I made the first two trades of my life today and already lost a $1.
This is not a good sign of things to come.

What did you buy so quickly today without research? Did you do like everybody does at first and just buy companies they know right away because why not?

I'm going to start doing some research on low end stocks. I am looking for stuff that's penny stocks. I'm going to see if I can find things that are at historical all time lows with some promise of coming back up.
So yeah, I'll be broke in a week.

I bought Sprint and Barnes and Noble Lots of room for growth.
I’m better suited for mutual funds I think

We're in a bull market. What you are talking about doesn't exist right now. That'd be like finding a unicorn.
There are a lot of opportunities still.
I might overdo it but I have like 100 stocks I track at any point and time looking for an entry point / opportunity.
This week I have bought 200 shares of KEM, 200 shares of TSM, took a gamble on 100 shares of BLOK, made a huge gamble on GBTC that paid off and am waiting to see if I find an entry point to add to my position in MU.
That's not counting what I have done with options in anticipation of earnings. I have contracts for NFLX, and FB for next week's earnings. I messed up and sold SLB too early perhaps but I made a mistake and bought weeklys which I hardly do so I cut my small loss and ran.
