Looking for a new job...need advice

I'm looking for a new job and need some advice. I have been looking at all the job sites (indeed, etc.) and trying to weed through all the postings. I have found some legit ones to apply to. Where else could I look? I have reached out within my network for job openings too.
Also, now a days you apply to jobs through the company site and hope that someone actually reads the applications. How soon would you do follow ups with these companies?
Appreciate the help.

Letting the board know what field you are looking in may result in better responses. If your field deals with headhunters, now would be a good time to reach out to a few on LinkedIn.

That doesn't really mean anything man.
It's like saying "I'm a consultant."
Not trying to be a dick, but the more you say about your skillset, the better the help you'll get.
quote:based on your skillset, people may suggest industries that you haven't considered where you could do the above.
open to other business positions such as supply chain, procurement, etc.
quote:LinkedIn is great. I'd suggest getting the paid subscription. You don't have to keep it long term, but it can be very handy during a job search.

For example, if you're applying to a smaller company you can go to their page and figure out who the HR person/hiring manager is and contact them directly.
quote:It really depends, some can be a few days and some can take up to a month. If it's those ones where they have status updates, you can kind of get an idea.

If you're applying to big companies, see the below suggestion that was made here recently. Eventually companies will figure it out, but seems to be working right now.
Also, have a base resume that you tailor for each job application.

What kind of sales?
I live in Nola and always look at indeed and linkedin to see what’s out there. I’ve been noticing tons of acct managers for tech companies. Do you have any PM or SaaS experience.

find some companies in the areas you want to live or currently live. REview them on Glassdoor, and apply on through the company website or LinkedIn

Even if I did notice that on a resume, I’d probably interview just for having the ingenuity to do it

I talked to an HR Director at a large aviation company today. In our area, she said the employment level is so low, 3.5%-4.5%, that essentially the only people not working are people who are not employable anyway.
From an HR perspective, they are fighting the uphill battle of having to try and hire people away from current positions and then paying them a premium to do it.
Fine tune your resume, put yourself out there, get active on LinkedIn. Having a job and looking for a job right now in most industries is a good seat to be in. Best of luck.
