La 529 Plan for Beginners

So I have 3 kids (5,3,1) and I am interested in putting $$ aside for school. I recently read up on the 529 plan and it appears it can be used for primary and secondary school as well as college.
Can y’all point me to a good site for questions and answers or provide some pointers for a first time user of the plan. I can put away a couple grand per child if beneficial.

They started a separate plan for that. I looked into it and there is no tax deduction. Only tax free growth if used for education. I don’t see how I would have much growth since I’d be using it right away but it may work for some people. I think that option only had one fund you could invest in.
