Is it possible that XRP has been artificially, intentionally suppressed, until now?

The institutions are surely going to try to adopt A standard, clearly, they wouldn't want a pure decentralized option, so could XRP be the compromise that the world powers will try to get behind in order to not get left behind ?

All institutions interested in centralized monetary systems?

You mean every government in the world is meeting at a secret council to hold little old xrp crypto and it's bag holders down.
Lol

I have a large bag pieced together from 2019-2021, currently avg up 75% though from this recent run...so just trying to have a discussion

It would be wilder to think things like you describe ARE NOT happening, have you not been paying attention the last few years? Thats the way the world works.

I knew you thought that, that's the joke

so you think the powers that be are just sitting on the sideline and not trying to influence the monetary systems of the future, all while blockchain and crypto innovation grows and grows... the better wheel wins in the end, and they know that.

Is clear you are delusional. Ever written software and heard of a merkle tree? Guessing you haven't.
Even the strongest crypto bros have given up on the joke that it's revolutionary technology for money.
Blockchain is being used all over the world already in things like git. Where you know it's fast and centralized and has any actual use case.
Just keep believing though, I'm sure all these meme coins will change everything, and isn't just gambling

Decentralized digital currency will never be the standard currency, especially ones that exist today
Except for illegal activities

I haven't paid much attention to XRP since 2017. It shot up to over $3 and was all the rage. After that, Its pretty much been dead money. It didn't even take out its all time hi's in 2021. I know some of that is due to legal battles, but you have to wonder if XRP is really even needed at this point considering the success of stable coins. Of course I may be clueless at to what purpose XRP serves. I has had a nice pump, but you have to wonder if coins like XRP and ADA will be able to get back to their former glory with so many newer projects out there.

The fiat system isn’t going to relinquish their control without a major fight. Like, world war. Now some might say a system collapse like that favors crypto, but not if they win. And not if the grid collapses, electricity and internet go down. Then it’s silver, canned goods, and ammunition.
No one knows what is going to happen. This is the wave of the future guys and this is all just a meme guys are both full of shite. I just hope I stay in if crypto does win or get out if they lose. For now it’s just like you said, gambling. It’s playing the stock market, with more volatility (fun). I don’t view it as anything more than that

All valid general points, which is why I was hoping to have a discussion here, to gain more insight

I finally jumped in back in the summer for a small amount. Think I put in $1300 and I’ve almost doubled my money in 4 months.
I’m still down big across the board but have a few I’ve double my money on. Hoping to get back what I’m down then hit the eject button on most.

You realize that centralized solutions like visa B2b not only exist but have been in use since like 2020?
And they are far from the only one. Unlike ripple they actually have customers that use their service. Ripple business in the other hand is a centralized solution to sell tokens to users.
While insiders have made billions on the bag holders.

While the company is buying and selling, early leadership already cashed out with big gains. Larsen, Ripple’s cofounder and executive chairman, sold $450 million of XRP between 2015 and 2020, according to the SEC, and is now worth an estimated $2.6 billion. (He also owns 17% of Ripple). Garlinghouse, who joined Ripple in 2015 as COO and became CEO in 2017, sold $150 million of XRP between 2017 and 2019, according to the SEC. Jed McCaleb, a cofounder of XRP and Ripple who left the company in 2013 after clashing with Larsen and other executives, gradually sold over $2 billion of XRP between 2014 and last year. (A separation agreement between McCaleb and Ripple restricted the amount of XRP McCaleb could sell at once.) McCaleb is now worth an estimated $2.4 billion.
