I’m looking to get a Master’s in Economics and Finance

I have a BS in ME Tech. and I’m currently living in Germany. I don’t want to start taking classes until I move back to the US. With that said, can you guys recommend some books or anything to prepare myself in the mean time? TIA for the help.

What they teach you about finance in school is not even close to the truth, there’s a physics in finance that the money changers have been using for eons and they’re not divulging it to you. I can guarantee that.
So you go on and get your “education” and believe you got it figured out sonny boy, you’ll just be a cog in their wheel.

What?
I’m not getting a Finance degree to actually go into finance. I was really looking for an Economics degree I can 100% complete online. The program I’m most likely going to use had a combined Econ/Finance degree.
I just need a master’s for my job and that’s something I’m interested in learning more about.

if your BS is equivalent to some kind of american engineering degree- and you aren't rusty on the math- honestly you're probably fine already.
from where you are right now, brushing up on the linear algebra & multivariate calculus is far more important than any economics/finance content, which is all a breeze unless you have 'mechanical' problems with the math or just the notation.
once you're good there, making sure you have some mastery of the basics of macro and micro might help you marginally, if you didn't take any of that as an undergrad.
it ain't the fun kind of reading, but if you want to really prep, undergrad texts & problem sets where you can access the solutions is probably the most time-effective way to go
